		<description>Dear Ms. Goldbard:
As I was reading your blog (for which I wish to compliment you and those who designed it. I wish I could afford one like it), I realized that you might be interested in a novel that I published last June. It is a romantic thriller, entitled On the Bumpy Road to Heaven with the Devil in Hot Pursuit. It involves a young Jew and an Arabian princess who fall madly in love in Paris and are subsequently persecuted by their families, religions, and governments in the name of dubious principles that violate their human rights as citizens of the civilized world. Given what you say about your background as a refugee, I think you would enjoy it.

Let me add that your columns are non-controversial and very enjoyable. You don't strike me as a true believer of any sort, but as a romantic person whose soul, as a French critic put it, caresses the personages and events of history in the making.
