Interesting thoughts. Capturing the Sixties is difficult without capturing the music and the effect it had on us daily.

You cannot help but smile when you go to Youtube to the music video called the "Sixties Generation"

The "Sixties Generation" video reminds us that every week there was new music to put a smile on our faces.

arlene,

i just read your entry. i did attend the 40th anniversary in san francisco. i would like to talk to you about it and your experiences in the haight. i am conducting interviews for my small side project, oral histories of the haight ashbury. i've interviewed about 25 people including such luminaries as ram dass, stephen gaskin, chet helms, and the cockettes. most, however, are everyday people (if you'll allow). i am looking for all walks of life with varied experiences, and i would like to interview you. my hope is that this will become a book. i have been working on this for a long time, on and off, in dribs and drabs, and have become accustomed to my lumbering pace. this is not a money-making job for me. i am a clinician, a phyisician assistant, and have been treating people with hiv for 11 years. i'm about to transition next week to working with a new hiv vaccine in high risk men and women. i will continue to keep a small panel of hiv patients.

so what do you say? if you'd like to talk first, that's fine. let me know if you're interested.

thank you,
