Hello Arlene, you display a truely sophisticated undertsanding of what I mean by solastalgia. It is my sincere hope that people in the USA can do their bit to defeat the psychoterratic and somaterratic onslaught that environmental and climate chaos present to us. In my own way, by defining solastalgia, I am trying to get people to recognise it, then work to defeat it. I have written about how a coordinated, collective and organically creative effort is needed to achieve a sustainable society (see material on my Blog) ... I hope that the USA is ready for such a change and that the new President has the nous and ethics to help lead the transition. All power (clean, renewable and safe) to you.

Very well stated. I liked it so much I listed it in my new groups pages.
I am starting a group Old Folks For Obama

to counter the perception that it is only kids that are working in the Obama campaign. My college age kids love the idea that there is a group of us over fifty that are just a hopeful as they are. Thanks for articulating your thoughts so well.
