		<description>I agree that we must always continue to hope. Othersise, what do we have to live for? What keeps us moving forward? And that&#039;s what Obama has given us -- a reason to keep movign forward. He&#039;s given us hope...for something new...for change...for the future...just when we needed it most. So, here&#039;s a poem I was inspired to write today after two other much better poets posted on the Aleph list serve their works about voting yesterday.

The new president comes like rain after a long drought.
The land soaks up the needed nourishment.
The people heave a sigh of relief;
Maybe the risk of fire has been lessened.
They can hope.
They have to hope.
They stand outside,
Weeping
Joyfully,
Gratefully,
Listening to the rain fall,
The drops feeding their souls.</description>
